Burghotel auf Schönburg, Oberwesel, Germany

The Germans were notable builders of castles. And this one is one of the most beautiful in all of Germany. He is more than a thousand years old, of course, there is a rich history, which included intrigues and serious battles. There is a museum in the tower where you will learn more about everything.

Half a day can be spent walking in the garden on the territory: strange plants, gazebos, fountains, and bridges. The view opens onto the Middle Rhine Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. So it’s worth taking a bike and taking a ride around.

The interior design refers to the German Middle Ages: the corresponding style with decor, furniture, carpets, curtains, casement windows, canopies and antique chests of drawers. Even the staff looks like beautiful Brünnhilde and brave Hans.

Parador de Cardona, Cardona, Spain

Just some 60 kilometers from Barcelona – and you are in the very center of Catalonia, walking along with the former fort of the 9th century with a church in the Gothic-Catalan style. Everything is according to medieval Feng Shui: towers, tunnels with stone walls, ditches, decor.

When you open the curtains in your room, you will observe the measured life of the city and the splendor of the Cardona River. On the roof, there is a terrace on which it is ideal to meet sunsets and sunrises. Climb onto the tower and shout: “I am the king of the world!” Well, there’s still an echo.

You can take a walk to the salt mills, cycle around the area, or run down and up a couple of times from the valley to the hill to the hotel to shake breakfast. And then read the legends about the castle, for so many years they have accumulated a lot.

Zamek Czocha, Lesna, Poland

There is no doubt that the hotel is a medieval castle at first glance. Nevertheless, the construction of the XIII century can not be hidden. There is even a stone bridge, however, the moat is not enough.

Frankly, the atmosphere in the rooms is very modest, if you take the standard rooms. Apparently, among the magnificent decoration, only family members lived.

Entertainment for guests is also medieval: watching knightly battles, a concert of chamber music. You will go to the right – you will find a lake, to the left – a panorama with rocks. The restaurant serves Polish dishes. There are a library and a conference room, which asks for knightly meetings.

By the way, excursions are carried out within the walls of the hotel, as there are many legends about the castle. And there are night ones for thrill-seekers. Join now.

Hotel Castel Dracula, Piatra Fantanele, Romania

An option for daredevils and lovers of legends, because such a name is not without reason. This is the only castle hotel in Romania, so its owners decided to associate it with the legend (or truth?) About Count Dracula.

In front of the hotel, there is even a monument to Bram Stoker, who wrote a novel about the bloodsucker. There is a bar in the bell tower and a coffin with a vampire in the basement. Nothing unusual.

As for the interior decoration, it is rather modest: stained-glass windows, antique furniture, red carpets, curtains, furniture upholstery, candles. Dracula is unpretentious. Each room has mountain views, which, incidentally, offer a walk.
